Post Oak #1

This is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment conversion located in Raleigh, NC. The home is a 1700 sq. ft. single-family ranch home that we divided into 2 apartments. For this apartment, we created a new kitchen area by installing apartment-sized appliances and stock cabinets into a corner nook.

We wanted to make this cozy space warm and inviting, without feeling cramped. We focused on cost-saving strategies, reusing items the client already had on hand and finding unique treasures at local thrift stores and estate sales.

Each year this mid-term rental has been in operation, we’ve re-designed the living room from winter to spring by swapping out textiles and some decor items.

For the bedroom, we initially staged with more feminine elements and then later neutralized the decor for a wider appeal.
